From 7 to 21 September the Artan Training Centre will hold a course "Close Protection Operative" (СPO).
We invite you to the training for security guards
under the IBSSA Close Protection Operative programme.
The aim of the course is to develop and improve individual and group skills of close protection officers in extreme situations. Tactical adjustment of close protection groups.
Programme:
- CPO professional ethics
- The role and responsibility of a CPO
- Conflict management
- Risk management
- Social aspect of teamwork, communication and interpersonal skills
- Supervision and counter-surveillance, reporting
- Organisation of various types of movement of the protected person
- Formation of walking escort groups
- Close and remote environment of the protected person
- Planning and organisation of meetings Departure of a protected person
- Low and high level of protection
- Local legal aspects of personal protection
- Tactical assistance in accordance with the TCCC protocol
- Operational analysis
- Ways and means of communication
- Professional equipment
- Radio procedure
- Strategy, tactics, personal protective equipment
- Operational, episodic and long-term planning
- Technical means of protection (home, office, hotel)
- Vehicle escort, pick-up, drop-off and pick-up
- Search of vehicles, buildings and people
- IEDs, search and action upon detection
- Repulsing an armed/unarmed attack
- Special firearms training
Course duration: 15 days
Class schedule: from 9:00 to 18:00 (1 hour for lunch)
Method of teaching: Theoretical classes - lectures in the classroom, practical exercises in the gym and on the tactical training ground, practical shooting at the shooting range.
Practical training takes place at specialised shooting ranges. Basic weapons:
 ‘FORT’, T-REX and PMR pistols, 9×18 mm calibre, non-lethal;
 ‘MKM-072Sb’ carbine, 7.62×39 mm calibre;
 ‘M4 A1’ carbine, .223 Rem calibre;
 ‘Fabarm’ smooth-bore pump-action shotgun, 12×76 mm calibre.
All training participants will be familiarised with safety precautions and measures for handling weapons and will be instructed on how to behave during the training.
Upon completion of the training, participants will receive certificates of completion of the CPO training. Certificates for IBSSA members are also available.
